The current status

The app is nearing a state when it can be used with real menu data. Looks like that will happen just before Christmas. The step after that is getting the user accounts working so that beta testing can start. At the same time the operations team is working hard to get menu data categorised and usable in the app.

All in all it’s likely that No Paper Menu will be able to offer the service to a select few during the middle of January. Coverage will be limited to Shoreditch and user experience is expected to be acceptable. User feedback is needed to fuel the path to greatness. Public launch date

The operations department needs to be onboarding menus to the platform at a certain speed before any launch date can be set, since the covered geographical area of London needs to be of a certain size to motivate a launch.

Operations is depending on software development and continuous improvement to increase speed. There is currently too much uncertainty set a date for the public launch of the app.

Recruitment of staff

No Paper Menu attended the job fair “Silicon Milk Roundabout” during November 25 and 26 of 2017. The fair was split in a day for creatives such as marketers and designers, and a day for developers. No Paper Menu advertised to find people within theses creative competencies: Growth-Driven Marketer, Content creator, Research Analyst and Product Designer. We also looked for people within development in these roles: CTO, Back-End Developer and Data Hacker. See the full description of all the jobs here.

It’s been hard / impossible to deal with the delay of the development and the recruitment process at the same time. I am so sorry for not getting back to all the people applying earlier. Will work as much as possible to clear the backlog in the coming days.
